How It Works
Pollard's Kangaroo Algorithm
The Bitcoin puzzle challenges give you a public key and a range. theCollider uses Pollard's Kangaroo algorithm to find the private key efficiently - much faster than brute force.
Distinguished Points
Workers generate "distinguished points" (DPs) - special points that are easy to identify. When two kangaroos land on the same DP, we can solve for the private key.
Pool Distribution
The pool collects DPs from all workers. When a collision is found, the reward is split proportionally based on each worker's contribution.
FAQ
What GPUs are supported?
NVIDIA GPUs with CUDA support (GTX 1060 or better recommended). RTX 4090 achieves ~8 GKeys/s, RTX 3090 ~4 GKeys/s.
How are rewards distributed?
Proportionally based on the number of DPs you contributed. If you submitted 10% of the DPs, you get 10% of the reward.
Is this legal?
Yes. The Bitcoin puzzles are intentionally created challenges with known private keys. Solving them is like solving a cryptographic puzzle - the creator wants them to be solved.
